An orthodox radio created to
PRAISE THE LORD
Free orthodox music offered to
ALL CHRISTIANS
By this online station we can
In year 2009 an idea came up to create an online radio station with only orthodox music provided non-stop, that I could listen without being required a flash memory or downloading music from the Internet.
Starting year 2010 I used for the web page free online hosting, but the web page grew popular rapidly and the free hosting proved insufficient reaching fast it's offered limits.
After this I used my own private server with personal internet connection to host the web page, and in year 2012 I have acquired paid hosting at BluevM.
For starters the radio servers were hosted by OVH Telecom.
From year 2012 I hosted the servers for three months in my own flat with my own internet connection using small netbooks (Acer Aspire One) as servers, yet because of the high costs together with internet and power supply instability, I searched for some other solution.
From June 2012 I rented servers from USA, located in Dallas (Texas) by BlueVM Communications.
Faith in good and merciful God was the prime stimulant in creating this radio station. As an orthodox priest I consider my duty to use this "gift" (hobby for IT) in preaching the holy word through music.
Furthermore I was motivated by my very first child, which was very peaceful at night through religious orthodox music.
Ever since launch the radio station became quite popular.
In the final number of Pastorul Tutovei magazine from 2010, Alleluia radio station was mentioned as the only offering orthodox music online.
On July 16 2010 Alleluia was criticised in newspaper Evenimentul Zilei (eng: Daily News) as a radio station generating unwanted messages (aka spam), although neither I nor any other staff sent unwanted messages.
In year 2012 two sections (forum and chat) were closed and deleted because of obscene and vulgar messages some persons were generating. From 17 March till 13 April 2014 the radio station was closed due to a spiritual anxiety within my soul.
The radio station Alleluia is working great with an average of 10 (ten) listeners per second from various global locations.
Sometimes there is the possibility, for a short while, for the radio servers to be inaccessible, but this has more to do with the datacenter granting an uptime of 99,9%.
Both radio servers and web page are financially supported by me, Father Cristian Anghel.
On June 3 2008 am fost ordained priest by His Grace Bishop Corneliu of Husi for Parish in Avramesti, Com. Voinesti, Jud. Vaslui.
Ever since then I try to help Deanery in Barlad and Diocese in Husi as much and as long God gives me strength.
From 2008 she was teacher of foreign languages in Parish in Avramesti and Parish in Voinesti, and now she helps Deanery in Barlad, in accounting and administration.
She has listened this radio station since her very first days after birth, and no matter how strange it may seem, religious orthodox music calms children, in contrast with the current contemporary music, which makes children agitated.
Alleluia radio station can be heard from any device connected to Internet, including computers (desktop, notebook, netbook), tablets, smartphones.
Alleluia servers have powerfull Internet connection, with double 1Gbps line, so they may sustain as many listeners as possible, about maximum 7500 listeners per second.
Alleluia online transmission format is in MP3 license, officially acquired from Shoutcast, to have as many softwares and applications possible for playback of religious orthodox music broadcasted by the radio station.
There is a constant attempt in progress and ascension of the radio station Alleluia towards security and modernizing with new programming languages and design, available today and in future.
